The house volumetry proposes a contemporary reinterpretation of the mountain architecture specific to the Sinaia area, expressed through a minimalist, clean and elegant architectural language that integrates naturally into the surrounding landscape.

The architectural concept is based on the direct relationship with the mountainous setting, emphasizing openness toward the landscape through large glazed surfaces, generous terraces and horizontally developed volumes that follow the site’s topography and strengthen the connection between interior and exterior spaces.

The identity of the house is defined by a balanced composition of simple geometric volumes and natural materials inspired by local architecture. Traditional mountain-specific elements are reinterpreted in a contemporary manner through:

• The use of natural-toned wood integrated as vertical slatted elements and warm exterior soffits
• Large overhangs and pronounced cantilevers that provide protection while creating refined light and shadow effects
• The integration of mineral finishes in dark tones, inspired by the texture and chromatic palette of stone and mountainous terrain
• Transparent façades and open views toward the surrounding landscape.

The volumetric composition is structured through the layering of strong horizontal planes, with clean lines and carefully controlled proportions, giving the residence a refined and contemporary expression. At the same time, the rhythm of the vertical slats and the warmth of the natural materials add texture, depth and a human scale to the overall composition.

The inner courtyard and expansive terraces become natural extensions of the living spaces, creating a fluid transition between architecture and nature. Mountain views are constantly framed and enhanced, while the volumetric composition generates protected and intimate outdoor areas without compromising openness toward the landscape.

The result is a refined, timeless and contemporary architecture that preserves the spirit of the mountain setting while reinterpreting it through a modern, minimalist and carefully proportioned design language.
